Reminder to Check Mails Power Automate

22 November 2024

In today's article, I will show you how to create Reminder to Check Mails using Power Automate.

First, we need to have an active M365 subscription and from the home page, we select Power Automate from the apps. On the Power Automate home page, we select Templates from the left menu.

We locate the available template named "Reminder to Check Mails."

In the next screen, we allow all necessary connections and then select continue.

In the next screen, we select the frequency of notifications and when we want the automate to start.

As mentioned earlier, in the first trigger action, we have an action of type recurrence where we set the frequency of notifications and when we want the automate to start.

In the next action, which is of type get my profile, we essentially ask the automate to read our profile.

The next action is a string variable initialized with a URL connection.

The final action in our automate is of type post adaptive card in a chat or channel, where in Post as we select flow bot and in Post in we select chat with flow bot. In the recipient, we set our email, which the automate has taken from get my profile. In the adaptive card, we have the JSON creation of the card where we replace the URL with the string variable we set earlier.

The next step is to save our automate.

Then we need to perform the manually test flow.

And select run flow.

As expected, an adaptive card has been sent with the details we specified.

When the automate started executing, we received this notification.

And of course, it completed successfully.
