Customize SharePoint List Using Json

In today's article we will see how we can change the format of a list form in SharePoint using JSON . The reason why we are doing this action is to make a form aesthetically better and through this process we can make this form more end user friendly First from our active M365 subscription we go to the main page

Then we select admin and then in the left column we select SharePoint so that we go to the main admin page of SharePoint And there we select active sites

This process can also be done by directing the site hosting the specific list over which we will apply the changes So we select the site that contains the list to apply the changes and from there we select gears above right and then site contents

In the next step we are in a column that is empty of items

And in the next step we select new so that we create a new item . On the right in the popup form click on the arrow on the right

Then in the options that pop up select configure layout

In apply formatting select header

And add the following code in JSON

Press apply and save In case there is an error in the code the action will not be executed or saved and at the same time it will show an error message If everything is done without any problem the form as you can see in the picture below has changed its format

In order to separate the different fields of the form, the following code should be added, which is indicative for the fields of my form. Before you save, you will have to enter the fields of your own form and the options in which and how many and which groups your fields will be divided into.
