In today's article I will show you how easy it is to change the url of one of the sites we have created in the past using powershell First we need to identify the site we want to change
Then you will need to copy the url of the site and then run the following Powershell Script through which the url of the site of your choice will be changed Initially we have DemoCreation and we will change it to NewDemo the url of our site
I am running PowerShell with administrator privileges and I have
# Declare Variables
$Tenant="https://mytenant-admin.sharepoint.com"
$OldSiteUrl="https://mytenant.sharepoint.com/sites/DemoCreation"
$NewSiteUrl="https://mytenant.sharepoint.com/sites/NewDemo"
#Connect with PnP Online to your tenant
Connect-PnPOnline -Url $Teanant -Interactive
#Execute Rename Site
Start-SPOSiteRename -Identity $OldSiteUrl -NewSiteUrl $NewSiteUrl
and as you can finally see the change has been made successfully
