In today's article we will see how we can create a wiki site as we were able to do in the On premise versions of SharePoint From my long experience wiki sites have been used very much in all companies to have a space in the internal portal of the company that contains information about the execution of processes as well as information about learning processes Initially from the SharePoint Admin site select Create
In the next screen we select Browse more sites
And in the next screen from the drop down menu we select More templates
(Alternatively we could select the Enterprise wiki but with the following procedure you will see a number of other templates that we encountered in the On premise implementations ) So we select More templates and go to another page which has a layout of On premise SharePoint .Here we have to give a new name to our site and then an address which does not exist in SharePoint . We select the display language and in the Publishing category I select Enterprise wiki .In the next field we have to select the time zone as well as the Administrator of the site .In the last unavailable field is the Resource Quota for the site and we click ok
As you can see we have created a single wiki site within our SharePoint
Alternatively, as mentioned above, we can choose the Enterprise Wiki
And on the next page we will have to give the name and description of the new site . We will also need to provide a unique address as well as the administrator of the site
In the next screen we choose language and timezone for our new wiki site
And once again we are on the wiki type page we have created
In case we choose edit page as you can see we will go to the old classic edit menu of SharePoint On premise installations
